Quickutz & Sizzix Sale extended....

We had several customers who did not receive the e-mail about the 40% OFF on Sizzix and Quickutz sale until it was almost over, so we decided to extend the sale until the end of the month. So if you have not been able to get in to swoop up this deal, you still have time. We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but we will be open our regular hours Friday and Saturday. Playing with Paper December 16th 2008

Here are the samples for Playing with Paper for December. We will be making a dimensional poinsettia card, a cute Chinese take out container decked out for holiday giving, and a set of paper blocks that make a darling home decor item.

Please bring basic tool kit as well as chestnut roan chalk ink, and pop dots.

Crop Nite

We have a few openings for the crop tomorrow night - November 21st from 6pm - 12am. Reservations can be taken tonight, Nov 20th, until 7:00pm. Take the opportunity to have a meal cooked for you and no interruptions. That leaves lots of time to get your holiday crafts completed. Call 219-476-0815 to secure your spot.

December Calendar

The December calendar is available to view on line. Click on the calendar to the right to view all up coming classes and events. You may also pick up a calendar at SALC. Class samples will be available shortly. We will try and post them on the blog as they are completed. We still have a few spots open for Crop Night this Friday and the All Day Saturday crop. Christmas Ornament Class

Christmas Ornament Class Tuesday, December 2nd
1pm and 6pm $25.00
These cute ornaments will make a great gift for you, or someone else. There are a total of 20 ornaments that can be made as well as a tin to store them in. The paper is the new Christmas collection from Cosmo Cricket. The muted holiday colors and patterns take you back to simpler times. Some ornaments have "shaker" centers, this a great technique to learn.

Crard Creations and Holiday Cards

The new Card Creations and Holiday Cards magazines are here. Both of these magazines have great card and decorating ideas. We only have a limited supply so get in or call to reserve a copy. Remember you always get punches for magazine purchases.

Playing with Paper Thanksgiving Fall

Tuesday, November 25th 1pm. and 6pm. $15.00 This month the focus is on giving thanks, this beautiful time of year, and home decor. We will be creating three projects, a photo mat for a favorite photo, Thanksgiving card, and place card holder. (Frame not included)

Crop Openings....

We've had 2 cancellations for tomorrow night's crop. So if your plans are open, we'd love to have you. Baked Ziti is on the menu, with Caesar salad and chocolate cake. Call for your reservations 219-476-0815.

Additional Crop Nite in November...

Our crop on Friday, November 14th is sold out, but we don't want to leave anyone out, so we've added another crop nite to our November schedule. Friday, November 21st is now open for reservations. The all-day crop is Saturday, November 22, so you can leave your things here and come back the next day. It's a great chance to finish your Christmas cards or other holiday projects before the pace picks up before the holidays. Our final crop for the month will be Friday, November 28th. I don't know what the menu is, but it won't be turkey!

Bo Bunny Winter Whisper

The new Bo Bunny Winter Whisper paper collection has arrived. We have paper, sticker, embellishments, as well as a mini album kit. The colors are muted blues and browns with snow flakes and swirls. This paper is so pretty it will make you wish for snow. Maybe.....

Christmas Card Workshop tools and supplies needed

If you are attending the Christmas Card Workshop Saturday November 8th you will need the following supplies or tools in addition to the basic tool kit. Green and Red pens or pencils. Chalk ink or ink in the following colors, charcoal, chestnut roan, and dark brown. Stickles, crystal and platinum. Small paint brush, and pop dots. If you not have these supplies they are available to purchase at SALC. See you Saturday.

Our Christmas Card Workshop is this Saturday! We only have 2 spots left. This workshop enables you to make 48 cards (including envelopes) in one day. We have most of the pieces pre-cut, and we've even done the stamping for you! You get the fun of assembling these cards and adding your own personal touch. After the first 2 hours of instructions, you are invited to stay and finish your cards, or you can take take them home with you to finish later. The cost is only $58.oo. Yellow Bicycle Christmas Magic

The new Christmas collection from Yellow Bicycle has arrived and it's just gorgeous. The colors are traditional and the design is classic. Pictures can't do this collection justice but it does give you an idea. There are many more embellishments and stickers then pictured here.

New paper, stickers, and embellishments are here from Cloud 9. The Kensington Gardens collection features a warm pallet of yellows oranges and greens with a hint of blue. The floral pattern is rich and inviting.

Christmas Card workshop

We still have a few spots left for the Christmas card workshop on Saturday, November 8th. The workshop starts at 10 am. We will spend the first two hours making one of each card, the rest of the time is yours to complete your cards or you can take them home to complete.
